Foundation for Gender Rights Reporting and Innovation is a Nigerian women-led, women’s rights nonprofit newsroom and advocacy organisation. We are dedicated to advancing gender justice by amplifying stories of gender-based violence through investigative journalism, survivor-centred storytelling, media advocacy, digital campaigns, and community engagement.
Founded following the successful implementation of the Silent Voices Radio Programme on Jay 101.9 FM with an estimated 100,000 listeners weekly, a survivor-centred media initiative that operated between October 2020 and August 2022 in Plateau State with funding support from Tearfund Nigeria and the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Plateau State Chapter.
